you don't need a phone yet. you don't drive so you don't need one convince them to get you a pony instead.....

First off you request a work permit from your parents. Then you get a job and keep up boith with school and job. Afyter a while THEN you ask the question.
This shows responsibility as well as willingness to pay for the extra phone line. THis is also the most convincing way I believe to get them to agree with you on this ne.

tell them that this is a time in your life where fitting in and making good friends is essential to you growing up and being able to socialize
tell them that everyone has one and that you don't want to be the girl without one.
Tell them, they can keep incontact with you and if plans run over then they can reach you. They'll be more of a part of your social life.
If you get lost or intouble they'll be just a phone call away..
and tell them.. gosh it's 2006

Tell them that u need it for safety reasons if that fails u can always try to sweet talk your dad that always works 4 me. Happy B-day 4 the 29th

I begged for 4 years and they got me a track phone then I begged them for a flip phone on their family plan for about 10 months and I got one

Ugh...dont. Cell phones are just dumb. And people are so rude these days. Never before would a movie theater have to ask, "Please turn off your cell phones." And you cant even use them in school so why bother?

unless its completly business realted no one needs more than one phone (i am assuming that your parents have a land line)
just because its popular doesnt mean you have to have it
