How do you draw a curved line in Photoshop CS?

I can't do it, anyone with any tips?

In Photoshop:
(1) select the pen tool
(2) while holding down the shift key (windows) create a line by clicking on the start & end points using the left mouse button
(3) select the "convert point" tool
(4) hold down the shift key and with the left mouse button held down, drag down on the first point you created
(5) hold the shift key down again, then drag up on the second point you created.

This will create an outline for your curved line. If you right click on this, you can either "make selection" or "stroke path" from the drop-down options.
