HEATHEN!!!! Do not speak ill of the best show on TV!
I agree that the magnet is surely what caused the crash - Desmond made it happen by not hitting the button to discharge it in time. That is kind of a given, I think. As for the injections, I'm still up in the air about that. Claire has been taking them and all of a sudden she wants to hold Charlie's hand again - that is a bit weird seeing as she was effing furious with him just a few days before she started taking it. Sure, the show is far-fetched, but if I wanted factual I'd be watching the Discovery channel.
And no, I'm not in the UK, but I am 1/8 British so I guess that counts for something, right? ;)
20 more days!!!!

Why do people keep saying that Lost is far fetched like when it started someone promised it would be realistic? I think it's probably because it started out as a plane crash but then got weirder. I love it myself and I never thought of the magnet thing but that's very interesting, you could be spot on there.

episode 23 or 24 of the second series proves you to be right about the electro magnet causing the plane crash when it shows the scottish bloke didn't press the button after he killed his sort of buddy (who was the same bloke that persuaded the iraqi to torture the army officer in his flashback when he tortured henry). I think they are making it up as they go along - didn't see the point in lizzie being in hurley's mental institution or being the person that gave scottish guy the money for his boat.

As annoying as the series has become you are right about the magnetic filed bringing the plane down. I'm fed up of thinking up different reasons as to why the Others do what they do.
.....to top it off I heard Series 3 has been cancelled because one of the main writers abandoned the show

I stopped thinking about the plot long long ago.
Now I just watch it for sheer enjoyment, to see the development of characters and relationships, etc.
And what has happened to Sayid???????????
He got a 3 second slot on the last 2 episodes combined. This is NOT good enough!

The creators of the show cant come up with any ending that will satisfy the audience or justify what the hell is going on, so I'm afraid they will drag it on till it gets cancelled, and a conclusion will never come.....it will become stuff of legend!

Good theories, but I think I've watched my last episode. It just drags on and on. Just when something new and exciting happens....they show flash-backs what we've already seen, or 95% the same. Oh,and the adverts every time you blink. The 2 guys in the ads drive me mental.

Go to bed earlier, or watch the Sopranos instead.
