For 3 years, up to 4 years ago, I delivered catalogues on foot.
Whenever I saw a coin on the ground I would pick it up and put it in a jar at home.
In 3 years I collected, wait for this, £140.00
Obviously they wern't all pennies, a couple were £5 notes (if you're American that's worth about $10) and several were £1 coins - but pennies weere by far the most found.
I thought "easy come, easy go" it was only meant to be a bit of fun, and spent the lot on the football pools and got half of it back.
Spent all that and lost it. But had an awful lot of fun.

I dont really do that...only if i saw one on the floor in my house somewhere I'd pick it up, but i wont pick it up off the street.

I save pennys, so today on the rug I picked about 4 of them and put them on my jar, where i'm collecting them.

It's been a few weeks - I saw a coin on the sidewalk and wanted to pick it up but found out it was glued... probably someone watching from behind and having fun of us fools :-)

Oh, I can't help myself.... I have to pick it up and then say that stupid rhyme. "Find a penny, pick it up. Then all day long you'll have good luck". I hate it when I do that.

It's been awhile.
I usually kick a penny if I see it and pick up nickels or better.

It's been a long time. I will always pick up a quarter (or more) and while I was collecting Marlboro "Miles" I would stop for them.
