Neither is better. The world writes applications for MS, and the world writes sloppy code. What ever written as updates is written to fix original errors, too include the motherboard, printer, network and user errors. The world writes viruses/malware to disrupt the systems and the users in many ways do things to support all of this. It is a miracle, given all of the trash that is thrown at the operating system that it runs at all.

MAC/Apple is kept in a very tight control environment! The world does not write directly to this system. Since there is much tighter control, there are fewer issues, too they lack far behind in sales.

But it is because the world can write to MS that computers have developed so fast! The reason that we can not travel to the moon is because the world is not designing the equipment, just a scant few of the earths population!

Like cars, homes, clothes, foods, lands, people isn't;t it good that we have choices? But our choice does not make the rest bad and ours good. Too, it is good that we have choices in software, printers, network providers, monitors and computers with their different Operating System. It is a blessing that there is more than one!

Neither is perfect, nor better, use your right and chose which one you like! Is a Swedish Lady prettier or better than a Hawaiian lady or any other? No, we have choices and that's beautiful, too, they are all BEAUTIFUL!

Consultants like Microsoft because when they sell a system with Windows on it, they're practically guaranteed billable hours. If they sell a Mac, the customer will be happy, but won't call for help. So I guess you could say that Microsoft is better than Apple because they keep the economy going with all those service calls.

Microsoft is not better than Apple. Apple has less crashes and is more reliable. Microsoft however is less expensive and has more programs. They got a better grip on the market because Apple refused to share its advantage.

That really depends on what you define as better. For my primary PC I will always have a Windows PC instead of an Apple.

The simple reason is that it is compatible with more software and I'm more familiar with the system. I'd like to have an Apple as my laptop, but they cost a freaking fortune. I'm not spending over $1000 for their cheapest model just to see if I like Apple.

It is not. It was just bad marketing. Apple would not let other companies produce Macs. The first PCs that came out were from IBM which was a big name in business so most companies went with IBM and DOS and later Windows.

MS isn't necessarily better than apple, but 90% of the world uses MS, so there are many more programs, and more people who understand it.

Well, I don't know if it's better, but it is preferred by more people. Windows usually has more than one way to do or find something. Many more programs are compatible with Windows than the Mac. I think Windows has more options also. Windows is definetly cheaper. I don't look at one as being better than the other, but just different.

its not, just different. because microsoft was able to hit the market and put out free products to get people hooked, it was able to beat out apple in the marketshare.

depends on what you want to use Either OS/Software for. Each has it's own set of problems, each has it's own usefulness.
