I remember hearing in on of the games from the commentator that Zidane and Henry were asked to come out of retirement for the world cup?? Were they already retired before??

yes Zidane was, he retired in 2004 and then came back to help France qualify for the World cup. I dont think Henry retired, but I think Thuram did.
Zidane had announced that he would retire after the tournament. Which meant this was his last world cup, and we all wanted to see him end his career holding the cup...oh well...

Zidane announced his retirement from international football a couple of years ago. He was asked to reconsider his decision for the 2006 world cup to help France succeed in the competition. Tierry Henry has never retired from Int Football, but Claude Makele (Chelsea) had. He was also asked to reconsider, and both he and Zidane played for France in Germany

Henry wasn't retired at all, where did you hear that?! Zidane had retired so he could spend more time with his family, but came back to help France win.

No i dont think of he has taken a threat in doing that. its actual reliable for French team as they choose a develop which Zidsane supplies them with. in final international cup in 2002 Zidane replaced into out for few video games n France replaced into out of cup race in team levels in trouble-free terms n it confirmed that without him France won't be able to win suits.
