I think we just took a step backwards as far as racism is concerned. It's almost like the show is trying to say that there is a superior race, and that's bad! Why couldn't they have just picked a different setting rather than moving back in time?

1. I too am curious as to why you asked the exact same question four times consecutively (that means "in a row")

2. Separating the teams initially by race isn't a problem for me.While in many countries there are mulit- ethnic societies, taking the world as a whole, if you really thing about it,we are separated racially IE: Hispanics in central and South America, Caucasians in Europe and North America, Asians in Asia and the Pacific Islands and Blacks in Africa. This does not suppose that any one race is better or worst than another, but that is just where "fate" had us originate so that is where most of us are..

Keep in mind that on this Survivor program ALL of the contestants grew up with an American background and as such should have basically the same experiences. Also remember that after a few weeks all of the "tribes" will merge into one, and then their racial/ethnic differences won't matter, They will be basic one team.

Those of us who spend so much of our life "seeing" racism around every corner are doing nothing more that trying to blame others for their own personal failure. I can guarantee you that some of those people will read my answer and "label" it as racist.

I agree with the first post here--they just put a cannon shot right across, and we have to take a step back.

This is exactly the kind of thing that brings the zealots out of the woodwork--Not because people are "grouped" together, but because an issue is being made about the labels.

Why should it matter? Everyone is given the same chance. Unless someone is not helping out, or thinks he can run the show by himself no problem. The ones that go first are always the the one that are the smartest and more helpful.

I think it's disgraceful, playing the race card just for ratings. I guess the black will beat the white, cause after all, all black people are althetic, right?

And of course the Asians will beat the Hispanics cause the Asians know all that kung fu.

I think it is good. If you haven't noticed the minorities are usually the first voted out on Survivor everytime.

I don't see the problem. Every team is treated equally, they have the same amount of food, shelter, supplies, etc. They are not asking the people in the teams to act according to stereotypes. You can be yourself, while still being proud of who you are.

uh... asking the same exact question four times in a row may be a bit obsessive... seeing as you're talking about a pointless television show.
