is it a waster of money?
ALso, is a fm transmitter necessary. and what does it do ??
Is the applye ipod much better than other mp3s?

i think that it is definietly worth getting a 4gb model, as even though you might not want to put 1000 sings on it , you can put photos on it as well.
The fm transmitter is just a thing that you plug in to your nano which lets you listen to your favourite radio station. It is not essential, only if you think you will need it. The apple ipod is much more fun than other mp3's, but is mainly a personal choice.

If you're really into music and think you'll end up downloading more than 500 songs, get the 4 GB. If you know you'll never need more than 500 songs, get the 2 GB.
Dont know what an fm transmitter is...I have an iPod nano and I didnt need one.
Apple iPod is really just a name. All mp3's are the same. If your thinking about something else, try iRiver. Those work pretty well and you wont spend a fortune on them.

Yeh, it's only £40 more here, for double the memory. And fm transmitter is to get the radio on yr iPod.

I found the zen creative mp3's hold more music than the ipods.

Personally..I will wait for Microsoft's ZUNE. Twice as big screen as an ipod and lots of memory. PERFECT for movies on the go...
As for music....try a radio. Its much cheaper and wider selection! LOL

creative zen v is soo much better and cooler and has better sound qulaity and acutally loks like it has a better screen too.
