does anyone think dragonforce are like an over the top dio?

Most definitely over the top. Dragonforce are very much old-school metal and probably the fastest band around. The speed at which they play is pretty phenomenal on record, but they play even faster than that live! Saw them at Download earlier this year and I was seriously impressed, not least because the guitarist does that thing where he puts his hand over the top of the fretboard and plays the notes with his fingers from the other side as seen in one of their videos. Maximum respect!!!!

I can't see the Dio resemblance myself but they are definately OTT. Great live though !!
