Is it true that people lose their tan during winter, even though the Earth is closer to the sun at that time?

Anyway, do they still have to wear sunblock and avoid the sun? Or does the tan go on its own?

Any tan decreases with decreased exposure to UV rays, no matter what the season. Since most people don't go out in the snow in their bathing suits, it stands to reason that they won't get as much exposure.

I still wear sunscreen on my face in the winter.

you still need to wear sunblock if your near water like snow and yes you tend to lose your tan because most people aren't out in as little of clothes in the winter :) spray on can be your best friend or jergens has a good lotion w/ self bronzer in it

Yes. Skin turns paler in winter. Make sure to use sunblock even on a cloudy day.

Tans disappear in the winter b/c people are outside less and are covered up more.

if you are going to be outside for a long time in the winter, then you should still wear sunblock.

have a nice winter!

you still need to wear sunblock if you're going to be in the sun. You also want to find a sunblock without mineral oils, they are a carcinogen and the 2nd leading cause of aging... both things youre trying to prevent, right?

Arbonne has one if you want to check it out.
