These drivers were the founding back bone of what we call the Busch series now, at the time it was NASCAR sportsman division.
You could call them "ironmen" because theu would race btween 2 and 4 times a week.Plus most of them built their own cars.Then a time or two a year they would be lucky enough to run a "Grand National" (NEXTEL CUP) race.They would run the 1/4 mile to 3/4 mile tracks both asphalt and dirt,dang those were the days.
Plus you can add drivers like Harry Gant,and Red Farmer to this list.

Sounds like a great bunch of guys. 25 years of Busch racing and still growing. But, as for Sigma, he should keep his mouth shut due to the fact that he has no idea as to what he is yapping about.

of the names listed, My favorite was Sam Ard. I used to watch the Limited Sportsman and, the Modified Division's race at Martinsville, VA. Sam drove the # 00 Monte Carlo and, was sponsored by the Black Diamond Coal company and, My favorite Modified driver was Richie Evans who, drove the orange # 61 Pinto. Man, those were the day's.

That is kind of hard to answer. All of them raced long ago. I know their names simply because they are pioneers in the Busch Series and have helped the Series gro to what it is today.
