I hope that they are on the way out.
They were supposed to be.
They look fine from the front, but awful from the back.
Painful in fact.
Fuller pants look much better.
Don't worry about VPL.
Thongs usually show above trouser line, anyhow.
Let's start a ban the thongs movement!

i think it depends on what you feel comfortable with and what suits your body shape best.
I dont think it is 'slutty' as some one put it in their answer, i thought that was quite harsh!(unless they were talking about people who wear their jeans low so the top of the thong is on display- (i dont like that look)
It looks terrible when women wear underwear (including bras) that is too tight as it makes their boddy bulge in all the wrong places! tight thongs are the worst culprit for this! the whole point of wearing a thong is to prevent a knickerline being seen through clothes.
French knicker styles are more popular than thongs now, and more comfortable- you can get knickers by Sloggi that are made as if cut from one piece of lycra fabric, they just cling flat to your body - has no elastic seams, they are great if wearing a satin dress or similar as shows no lines!

Not really, I think they are more popular than ever. The boy shorts are still hangin' in there but thongs are too sexy to ever go completely out. They are practical because every girl knows underwear ends up UP your butt anyway so with thongs you have less to pull out!

i believe that showing thongs off is out a long time ago, but i also believe that thongs will always be around. they are excellent choice of underwear for many reasons.
Thongs and G-strings will also always be used as an important part of the flirting game and the intimate foreplay

Are you talking about shoes or underwear? Either way, thongs will never go out. As long as people are wearing tight skirts or pants, thongs will always be needed. I mean, who wants to see some girl's underwear outline? Gross!

On the way out? I thought they were on the way in. I see so many new designs all the time. They're comfy and sexy, why would they be on the way out? If they still make those granny panties they will always make the thong.

No. I think they will always be around. Sure, they have all those new no show panties. But I still get a wedgy from those. Sometimes, a thong is just what you need.

Yes sadly there are not so much variety of them in the shops now, the boyleg ones seem to be the fashion now
