I want to be a nurse, but I faint at the sight of blood and gore. I know, it sounds odd that I would want to be a nurse anyhow, but I just do! So, is there any special course or treatment or something that could help me to lose my squeamishness?

there is a psychological therapy that can be used to treat phobias and is much more effective than anything else. It's call cognitive behavioral therapy CBT. You confront whatever it is that bothers you gradually, until it no longer bothers you. Is usually offered by clinical psychologists, which aren't that easy to find!

I don't think nursing would be a good career move if you can't handle the basics. You could try a job in a nursing environment but not hands on. Perhaps a nursery nurse

possibly hypnotherapy would help. and it may be a case anyway that you wouldn't be squeamish when it really matters and you're saving somebody's life - i'm really squeamish but whenmy friend cut open his head and there was blood everywhere i didn't think about it for a second because we just needed to act.

Its all mental. All you can do is keep exposing yourself to it until you are numb to the feeling.
