Recently moved in to a newly built home in a rural area, right next to a busy road.

Recently I've noticed weirdos stopping in front of my home and taking photographs of my property. When I go outside to let them know I can see them, they take off.

At nights, there are strange cars parked on the road with their headlights on near my home.

I have expensive new cars parked on my property so I am thinking they are planning to carjack them or rob my home.

So far I've:

Installed a fence around the property.
Got a large dog that bark at strangers and will bite if they happen to jump the fence

Which is the best wireless security camera that works in the total darkness (there are no street lights here) and that can be broadcast on the Internet?

I have a chain linked fence only, so what can I do so they can't see throught it?

Any other ideas?

Ask your fencing professional about privacy fencing. It will allow your property to be fenced in such a way that people cannot see in. You need to install a security system immediately even if you decide to install one without cameras. At least your house will be protected if someone were to break in. Some security companies can even install a secure gate entry system (not the actual gate, but alarms will go off if the gate is opened and the alarm is engaged).

Get an Internet ready security camera that picks up infra red illumination and get an infra red light. You could also use a camera with night vision equipment, but that'll be more expensive.
I have a motion detector triggered light system with mercury vapor lights. Since regular motion detectors will not operate with the type of load the mercury lamps provide, I got myself a 110V relay to be switched by that, and the relay contacts handle up to 13 amps (about 1,500Watts).
That takes care of 2 mercury vapor and a 400W halogen light.
I have a 10 minute on period set and if anyone gets close enough to trigger it again while it is on, it resets to the full 10 minutes.
Discourages bad people since they don't like to be illuminated. ;-)

get slats for your chain link. i get em from a fencing supply house.

a camera wont stop a burglar, buy a gun or three.

while your at the fence supply, check out the electric fencing supplies. just the thing for around the top of chain link.

If you have the money, you may want to invest in a perimeter beam sensor that tells you when someone has entered your property. I believe that they just passed a law that you can shoot to kill anyone who you feel is threatening your well being or property. These alarms can be set to "annunciator" mode instead of the siren alarm or have the system just turn on bright floodlights so you can see who you're shooting.

stand outside and wave to them.. they are probably Chinese....
other wise meet your neighbors..... they have all kind of alarm systems in place.... but unless your dog likes fresh meat there is no preventing the fools from entering your property and stealing outside merchandise........ and be aware i read once where a burglar sued a dog owner cause the dog bit him... go figure
