Just go tell your mother that you have gotten your period, its that simple. I didn't tell my mom for a whole year because i was so embarassed, so please don't do that!Good Luck!! Its just a natural part of life! :)

I wouldn't , go bye some pads and be done . moms like to make a big deal out of it and embarrass you , and tell their firends lol. Naw just tell her by the time you're her age you'll see what i mean when i say it's not a big deal .

Are you ok for pads, tampons etc...? Just tell her. I was 11 when I got mine, and mum just told me to put on a pad and have a bath if I felt like I needed one (which I did!). It will be better for her to know so she can get you the pads etc...
Oh, and make sure you tell her if you are in pain. If you are young, paracetamol is best.

Just tell her when the two of youa re alone together. She went through this herself-uncertainty-when it really is easiest to just bring it out in conversation. There is nothing to be afraid of. Chances are, she has been waiting for this to come up and is there for you to answer questions you might have.

i had difficulty with this one too in the beginning... just be honest with her, after all, she's a women too and this is nothing abnormal! i think she'll actually be very happy - this means that ur a healthy young women and that u can have babies in the future!!
