The European Champions Cup was first called the UEFA Champions League in the 1998-1999 season. So the last team to win the European Champions Cup would have been Real Madrid who beat Juventus 1-0 (Mijatovic) in 1998.
However the first year groups were introduced into the ECC was in the 1991-1992 season, as opposed to the original two leg knockout system. This could be considered an early version of the Champion's League. In this case the last winners of the ECC in it's original format would be Red Star Belgrade who beat Olympique Marseille on penalties (0-0aet) in 1991.
