The recommendations with tampons is: they can be kept in between 4-8 hours. If you need to change it sooner than 4 hours you need the next absorbancy up and if it's ony half used when you take it out you need an absorbancy lower than you are using.
Toxic shock is a risk from leaving tampons in for extended periods of time. One thing suggested is if you use tampons throughout the day then use a towel at night to prevent the possilbe build up of any bacteria. You can then use a tampon again in the morning. If you do use one at night make sure you put a fresh one in just before you go to bed and take it out as soon as you get up.

I heard it is unsafe to wear tampons for long periods of time. There is a sickness called Toxic Shock Syndrome. There is a paper inside every box you know the one that has the visual of how to insert the tampon well it tells you all about it . I would read it . just to be safe.

I have left my tampon in for ike 8 hours before (many many times) and nothing happened. But every ones body is different. I propose that if you forget about your tampon or don't like to change it cause it hurts when it is stil dry, use a pad on your light days.

Really the answer is that you should be wearing either a pantiliner or a light pad because you are barely bleeding. Don't increase your risk for TSS by using a tampon when you really don't need it sweetie. Pads suck but they have no risk.

You should be using the slender smaller tampon. And since its safe to wear them overnight I'd imagine if you were using the correct size that it would be fine.

Depends on the brand. Tampax are designed to be left in for up to 8 hours, but if you aren't sure, don't leave them in.

Not recommended, it has nothing to do with the amount you are bleeding, it increases your risk for toxic shock syndrome.
