Do you mean Dracaena? Long reddish leaves coming out from a crown the top of the truck?
These are a tropical plant and their native growing conditions include very high humidity.
Brown tips are typical in dry air as the water absorbed by the plant through the roots just never makes it to the tips if the leaves.

Increasing the humidity around the plant will help. You can accomplish this by creating a pebble tray to set the pot on. The pebbles keep the pot and roots out of the water that you have sitting in the pebble tray and that, as it evaporates, increases the humidity. Misting is also a good idea and prevents spider mites.

Go ahead and trim the tips to make it look better - will not harm the plant.

Hiya, you have over watered your plant, let it dry out and regulary mist the foliage with water, that should do the trick. Although the dead part of the leaves will not turn green again! You can snip them off with a pair of scissors into a pointed shape so it doesnt look so unsightly!
