I have a WW2 Japan sword that was brought here after the battle of Okinawa. Although the tusuba(hilt) is gone, the rest of it is in excellent shape. The signature on it is Hiro Take and the date is 1939, There are other codings on it but, I haven't had them identified. The value on it goes from 1600 USD to 15,000 USD. The blade is in unbeleiveable shape. Only one small blemish on it.I would be interested in talking to anyone with knowledge of it. my email is Bill5662014@yahoo.com

someone called me to carbon date a similar sword recently but carbon dating is for previously living creatures and plants, not inanimate objects.
