Here are the only sites I could find with breeder listings....

http://www.enter.net/~koshka/ferret/breeders.htm

http://www.ferretcentral.org/companies.html

The ferrets at pets stores are usually from the big ferret farms, the largest being Marshalll Farms.... http://www.marshallpet.com/

And I don't know about them being inbred, but any mass production place like that can't put the time and effort into raising healthy animals that a small breeder can.

Good luck in your search!

First off, it's inbred, not inbread. And no, they're not inbred. Pet store ferrets USUALLY come from Marshall Farms, which is not an inbreeder - they breed thousands and thousands of ferrets.

The other ones can come from Path Valley - also not inbred.

Be careful with private breeders. You can find inbreeders sometimes. That is how angora ferrets started, you know.

Try looking in the newspaper or calling an animal shelter

I'm sorry I can't help. I had one but Paris Hilton stole it from me.
