A massage would be good. But if you're in that much pain, please pick up the telephone and call your OB to let him/her know. They can most likely tell you what to purchase over the counter or if you need a script, they will call the pharmacy area and have something waiting for you. OB doctors will not prescribe anything that will hurt the baby. Don't take advice from amateurs like us. Well at least I'm referring you to your doctor.
Stay healthy!

Are you serious?? You cant bring a pillow or heating pad to work? Are you sitting at a desk? That sounds really strict. Maybe you could come wearing a think sweater and then take it off, fold it and use it as a pillow? Try also rolling your shoulders just to loosen up and relax muscles. I totally feel for you .. I have the same pain and am 36 wks. But I brought a heating pad in.

1st of all congrats on ur lil bundle of joy..
i think a good succession of yoga will help. Get Indian style on the floor and arch Ur back upwards setting straight up, do this at lease for 10 minutes and also take a nice long........... bath in bubbles if u can. and if not then just take a long shower with warm water hitting ur back. Also have ur mate massage u for at lease a good 25 minutes, ur close to ur birth giving day. soon good luck and wish me luck as well i'm trying for a lil sibling..

I have the same problem! Is your bra supportive enough? Sometimes women don't change bras during pregnancy and the added weight causes back pain.
A massage would be the best thing you could do. I usually take Tylenol and try to lay propped up on my back for awhile to let the muscles relax.

You need to take time off work. The weight of the baby is putting strain on all your muscles. Call your OB/GYN and have him take you off work until after the baby is born. I know it is a finacial burden, but you are close to delivery and need to be in the best state of health possible when it comes time to deliver.

Well, ask the boss for a massage. Maybe he can help you relieve some tension in some way.

other countries pay expecting moms to stay home, and then the father to stay home as well
I think our problem is we are so darn broke and poor we can't afford to stay home for prenatal care and the real issue isn't your pain, it's the society and corporate crap that puts us into these scenarios
if we raise great kids, or take care of them during pregnancy, we will have better people in society
