Just the thought of a man playing a guitar is a big turn on let alone being song to. Sing what comes from the heart and don't try any thing new when singing to her for the first time. Good luck.

Depends on the girl. Some find it naive; but on the other hand, if you are actually REALLY good, you can reduce them to tears and that always gets yah brownie points.

Sing emotional slow beat folk rock, something like Kent or Red House Painters or Elliot Smit or Simon and Garfunkle...something like that.

Avoid songs by AC DC, Venom, or System of a Down.

That depends. Can the guy sing?
I, myself, would love for a talented man to sing me a romantic love song.

Of course... my husband plays piano and sings, but same difference. The best bet... find out her favorite song or type of music. Write her one, maybe. It doesn't have to be good, but it will still be special. Good luck! Stay away from death metal or chauvanistic lyrics if you're wanting to impress, though. For romance, girls like a little softer music.

It depends on the song. If you sing something sweet, from the heart, and mean it they will like it. If you sing something like Stephen Lynch then they will probably laugh (depending on which song you chose of his). But if you do something tasteless and you really don't mean it then they won't like it.

I would like it. Sing something mushy and romantic. Outside my window at night. I promise not to call the cops on you.

Music speaks directly to the soul. But, like any other language, it must be learned, studied, practiced. Too, it is not to be heard, it must be listened to.

Sadly, too many will not learn the instrument they chose to hold, notice I did not say play. Too often, they hear what they are doing but they neither listen to themselves or the others that they may be holding their instruments with.

If you can describe your feelings with your instrument, so that she feels what you are saying from the beauty of your music, which instrument you use, will not matter. Too, everyone else will listen with her.
