TO me...that is a MYTH!
My marriage is awesome and we get along great! 10 years and going strong - love him more today than I did when we first met!!!!!
We Laugh often - live fast - love hard - TALK DAILY! 2 wonderful kids - happy KIDS at that - wonderful jobs and just happy in general! How many couple do you know that can actually say that....I no...one other besides us.
KEY to a great marriage...listen up all you woman!
When something happens that bothers you, you need to discuss it, meet in the middle and DROP IT...NEVER bring it back up. The worst thing you can ever do is keep bring up the past. If you can move on and live for tomorrow - you will be a better person and an AWESOME spouse!

It IS hard work, but if two people love each other and work together, it is worth every bit of the work it takes. A little hard work never hurt anybody!

Why do people work hard if it's hard work?! Because it will be nice to have someone to share life with when the kids are gone, and self gratification is nice, but it gets old-there are too many diseases out there. I don't like the risk of promiscuity.

Because when you truly love someone you are willing to work hard to make your marriage last. You have to be able to communicate and take the good with the bad. That's what your vows are all about!

all marriges are hard work but we marry because of wanting to commit to one another my mothering law always says she wished she never got married but she doesn,t mean it cause she loves him and would do anything for him we all fall out and have terrible arguments but thats life but its nice making up after lol

Because it's worth it. Humans instinctively think of themselves first - marriage requires putting your partner first and that's why it's sometimes hard work.

Because hard work is what being a responsible adult is about.
Anyone who isn't working hard toward SOMETHING is immature and lazy. They need to be euthanized.
