The short version:men physically and emotionally attractive, but for whatever reason are offended with the stigmas that currently define the gay community in the public psyche. Anal-sex is not tolerated ever. G0YZ also reject (due to well developed theology), the lax & lazy prejudices that have arisen in conservative fundamentalist circles against all same-gender sexuality. Many G0YS are GAY or BI identified men (who might wear those labels If they were not aware of the G0Y movement). Many G0YS are STRAIGHT identified (involved in marriage or exclusive relationships with women) also - but have these deep feelings for masculine affection nonetheless. Many of these men have had 1 or more sexual encounters with other men (not anal) & lack the language to describe those feelings & relationships. The terrm "gay" simply encloses too large a group & the diverse associated stereotypes. G0YS are not homo-phobic (as we readily admit that we are men who lovemasculinity). Nice try Nostromo :-)

Many men who identify themselves as G0YZ; are not and haven't engage in sex with another man, but enjoy being able to hug, and give each other massages. Why limit yourself to dictated values of hatred? Life is full of avenues; do what makes you happy, while accepting others to do the same.

Well from my personal experience I know and have met many G0YZ, who are singled. They like me have gay friends, and know of drag queens. Being G0YZ is a personal preference such as being attractive to blonde and blue eyes or being attractive to Latinos or Asians. Not attempting to change the gay community, just letting guys who feel as I do; that they have options. I know the haters and really don't care. Continue as you will and so will I.

All these bloody labels flying around - that's all they are, words.
Why on earth would anyone care to denounce the adherents of one sexual lifestyle over another?
Is it not enough that we've got Straights bashing us (all the way to eternal damnation), that we've got to lay into one another?
For goodness sake, everyone GIVE IT A REST!
If there are people (and clearly there are thousands) who aren't happy with one label, that they feel the need to create and take on another, LET THEM. They are not seceding from a "Nation of GLBTQ". They've merely identified a uniqueness in their grouping; something that THEY FEEL sets them apart from existing groupings.
I don't give a sh!t, if you are pro- or anti- anal sex; if God & disease is their prime justification for not practising it or if, by excluding effeminacy from their ranks, some (more sensitive and misinformed) souls feel that G0ys are labelling all Gays as effeminate.
Bi-folk get similar cr@p about being: in denial, in transition, slack-whores, indecisive, untrustworthy and disease-ridden! Worse still we get it from with in the ranks of GLBTQs - as much as we do from the Straights. I am none of those things and it is MY label.

I made an inquiry about the meaning of G0Y the other day to a person who says he is G0Y. I had many questions. Mainly because I am a gay man, very masc, and not into all the dram, drag and femme stuff a lot of gay men are into. I Know I am gay, I like anal too well to give it up. However, with the rest of the G0y movement I can identify with.
The word GAY does encompass a large group of people. I see nothing wrong with sub-catagories for people. However, like many I disagree that these men are not gay. I believe they are, but have a preference, like those for leather, and such. I find it ok with me to allow them to live thier life the way they chose. If they wish to call themselves G0Y fine by me.
However, I don't see how you can have a husband, and many do have partners, enjoy physical intamcy with that partner or husband of the same sex, and not call yourself gay.

In my opinion g0ys are gay men who don't like being homosexual.
You think str8 people and bigots care if you are gay or g0y as they stick the boot in? Being invisible is the oppressive desire of those people that say, we don't care if you have sex with men as long as a: you don't look gay b: you don't act gay c: you never tell anyone else you are gay d: you never demand equal rights as str8 people, basically just stay in the closet.
rape is about power not sex, anal vaginal or oral rape is unpleasant for the victim because it is not an act of love. Is vaginal sex an act of demeaning women?
Not many gay men like anal sex it is an option and definitely not required to be accepted by the gay community. If you are not accepted by the community maybe its your attitude that sucks.
There is no such thing as the gay stereotype. If g0ys are reacting against men looking gay, how can they be bears which is one of the most identifiably gay looks around?
I just figured it out. If you were simply gay you would not be getting all of this attention. YOU ARE G0Y BECAUSE OF YOUR NEED TO BE SPECIAL

You know I am honest I don't hide what I do I gladly call myself bisexual because I love both men and women. I identified with g0ys because it fit me to a T and it gave me and Identity to be proud of. I had never had that. I accepted it and have been happy and proud of that label. I harbor no false illusions that straight people will ever see the difference between gay and g0y but guess what gay people see the difference and g0ys see the difference. I don't identify with straights anymore than Identify with gays. I am a bisexual man I love men I love women. I could never accept that till I was in my 40's. 7 guys raped me when I was 9 years old because they could tell I was different. You do not have to wonder why I do not want to engage in anal sex. I found nothing about that pleasurable. I carry the scars of what they did to me in my spirit. I will not have that done to me ever again. I also could never do that to someone else. I think it is a degrading emasculating act and I shudder just thinking about it.
I wish the gay community could explain to me how if anal sex is not an emasculating act why is it that they can tell who is a bottom and who is a top. A bottom that I know ( a dear friend actually 56 years old) whom I am trying to find a gay friend for was looking over my shoulder while I was going through the gay personals and I would point to a guy I thought looked good but he would say no he is a queen or he is a bottom, he ain’t got what I want. So I would point out another and he would say no he is a bottom. Eventually he turned to me and said you must be a top. LOL

one minute i was gay next i thought i was g0y now think some of the g0ys attitudes are extreme, so now im just a guy who lives with a guy who does guy things but not anal as im not that kinda guy! (understood?!) i just dont understand it all
looking at the website they seem to have quite a bit of hate for people.
i have stuck up for g0ys in the past as you and dear Rand know, but i seem to get harassed when i do, so im just gonna keep quiet about it for now!

A g0y is a man that refuses to accept the label of being gay, mistakenly thinking he will not be associated with gays because of what he thinks are substantial distinctions, primarily being what sexual acts he will and will not perform because they are associated with "acting gay." NEWSFLASH: Performing oral sex on a man, receiving oral sex from a man, cuddling, and virtually every other sexual or intimate act a g0y man will participate in are all gay behaviors. Behaviors g0y men attributee to gay men are stereotypes that they are perpetuating, a real disservice to those of us who, aside from the fact we are attracted to men, are morally upstanding and respectable people. Being g0y does not make one morally upstanding and respectable, particularly since one of the behaviors condoned on the oft-referenced web site justifes infidelity in what should be a sacred relationship; it appears g0ys think it is OK for a man to be married to a woman and have sex with men since they are just "buddies."

There is nothing STRAIGHT about having sexual feelings for another male regardless of the nit-picking about sexual activities.
There is NO well developed theology that condones having one partner and accepts sexual activity of any sort with another outside of that partnership. Period.

Nice story. But its like telling me that you are a bear because you have a beard, you wear leather etc. etc. You can also be a queen. You can also be a g0y, but if only it is a part from the whole spectrum. The reason we insist that much, is like having a transexual saying that he is just a transexual but has nothing to do with homosexuality. No one doubts you and what you stand for. We doubt the fact that you think that you are completely different than any other homosexual/bisexual.
You just make so much fuss about a word, which in the end of the day it derives from the word gay. You just change a letter. But you cant go out and say I like men, I am a top thus I am not gay I am simply a top. It is just a word caught in the middle of no where and needs to have a root at the least to make sense. The true meaning of g0y is simple, men who can't stand what they really are. Worse, not only do they not accept themselves, but now, they must attack gays as well.
