I guess its all played the way the lord wants it to be. It is your choice to decide what you want to be with. I want to be with God.

OK a GREAT question that needs a great answer
The fact lies in --What aspect our Growth is in
age , SIZE , height
bank balance, assetts, properties , cars etc
relatives, friends, for company sake...only
all the above are temporary joys --- here for a short period .... like a soap bubble...then woosh.... then you go searching again
for same things that only cause misery, worry & pain
OR
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Peace, happiness, wisdom, spirituality ( divine things)
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Yes that is the case, WE all go thru cycles of Growth
depending on how things are in
"priority list ** "
which changes in each level of age group
A baby to a young child
young child to a teenager
teenager to young adult
a young adult to a adult
a head of family w/ children & parents
Then maybe extended family
or if single- then the desire to achieve something
to impress the near ones for the "Jonses "sake
even if not the case
The family/ spouse wants to keep up with the JONSES **

Everyone is striving to feel happiness.According to their tastes and choices, they try to attain it in different fashion. Some-by chasing weALTH, HEALTH OR PLEASURE, SOME--BY TURNING INWARDS.A life with God is based on a realisation that life and death are part of a bigger reality called the eternity which is not bound by time, space or object-wise limitation. That is why this God-based life is on the highest plane-where no-one can reach till they have overcome the vices such as, greed, anger, jealousy, pride, desire, and delusions.Since the vast majority of our fellow compatriots are struggling in the materialistic plane, let us rather empathise with them, but never try to identify with them. After all, everyone has a right of discretion, don't they?

Beautifully spoken!
The answer: When we forget our own spiritual nature and our relationship to the Lord, we think we are the body, not eternal spirit soul. Then we think the possessions of the body such as, family, home, wealth, etc. belong to us. By extension we think this land is OUR country, which gives us the right to exploit it for our own sense enjoyment. This ignorance is the cause of all greed, hate, anger, lust, misery, etc. In reality, everything belongs to God. He is the source of all spiritual and material manifestations. When we wake up and become self-realized-- realize our spiritual nature as eternal loving servants of the Supreme Lord, we understand the misery of the body conception of life and the greed, lust and anger it fosters. This is the beginning of an eternal life of unlimited bliss and perfect knowledge.

Your views are valid.
What ever we do beyond the necessities are
1. Burdening the others with insufficieny such as each gm of food one is wasting, some one else is suffering the shortage.
2. Saving or acquiring something illegally or by force or by out of turn means some one else is effected/ deprived due.
3. The wastage of one is shortage for other.
All these are implemented/ supported and encouraged by state/ society/ individuals with short sight and selfishness.
What as an individual can do is practice oneself and try to convince those around.

You search for God whether you have already means to realise it or first work to get the means to live and also search him.It is possible to realise God either by Gnana Yoga or karma yoga.Spiritualism and materialism are not mutually exclusive. You need both to approach God so that you will ask God ,when he appears before you the right thing.Peace and happiness are possible if we are materialistically achieving and spiritually giving.

I go with God. Everyone still needs to earn a living. You still need shelter, food and clothes. You can always outlive your means(income) or live within your means. If you are unemployed, it becomes hard to live within your means. I prefer to think that if I won the lottery, I would set up scholarships for others and not spend it on myself. God provides for our needs. People usually want more than that. What you have can be put to good use. Volunteer to help someone in your community. You can tutor others to learn to read. Recycle paper, glass and aluminum. Volunteer at your hospital to cheer up patients. Help with a youth program or local girl scouts.

Possessions=wealth=social position=power. Material goods only become an issue when they become the focus of the pursuit of power. It's not a bad thing to buy what you can easily afford. If you can afford the best buy the best. If you can't then don't, but if you do anyway you're a fool.
