There are some striking similarities re some of the reasons that people go on rampages & shoot people. It just seems that lots of authority figures DON'T take people (and students especially) seriously when they complain that they are being tormented about what they wear or their hair styles, etc I'm not excusing what this man did by any means. But I AM seeing a trend. and its an obvious trend. In fact authority figures generally sweep such complaints under the rug, until something like this happens. Especially in the schools, students need to be constantly reminded NOT to bully or make fun of fellow students who "look different".This man was 25. Apparently he had had some bad experiences in his life. And apparently there are a whole lot of others who have had or are currently experiencing some type of bullying. School officials coddle jocks, cheerleaders' they use smart kids to pump up their egos. Those who are different are made fun of..
This needs to change.

This is a question and answer forum. That's all it is.You ask a question. You receive answers. I have a right to my opinion just as you do. I am not at all intimidated by how you feel and I could care less if you KNOW or don't know someone near the area of that incident. So if questions offend you,. perhaps you should just mind YOUR own business and move on.
Got that?

I have 4 kids.None of which have been in trouble at school until now.My youngest son thinks he is 10 foot tall and bullet proof.BUT the other day he got angry b/c some boys on the play ground wouldn't let him play kick ball.So he kicked the ball and turned to leave,3 boys chased after him and pinned him against the fence,so he kicked one to the ground. He got in trouble for kicking the ball, the other boys did not get into trouble. He has been in the principles office 3 times already this year.My ex-husband (who they live with) made the snide comment of"well I don't know why he is acting like this,do you know.I told him I have spoken with him concerning fighting,b/c he says he is going to kick so and so's butt if they don't stop messing with him.My ex said if it happens again he is going to take drastic measures(Spank him,my ex does not know when to stop spanking once he begins and does not know his own srenghth).I do not believe you should hit a child to teach them not to hit. That does not make sense to me.But the only time he hits other kids is when he is at school. At home and when he is here,he doesn't even as raise his voice.SO I think something is happening at school for him to do this. His older siblings are very popular and make good grades(the oldest is 21 and finishing his 5th year in college).I do not know why all of a sudden he is having problems at school.

an outstanding variety of cases, the teachers overlook approximately bullying, so there is nowhere for the youngster to coach. some parents even tell their childrens that obtaining bullied is an element of transforming into up. whether it does no longer mean it relatively is precise. i'd be prepared to guess that if only 1 youngster had shown an ounce.. of compassion for him, this does not have got here approximately. particularly, childrens are such assholes at present. I examine that Adam Lanza was shoved against the partitions contained in the hallway. in basic terms for strolling down the corridor to type. it relatively is like the youngsters in touch in Columbine. certainly one of them substitute into tied up and had ketchup thrown throughout him. And colleges do no longer something to deter this habit.

I often wonder about this:
1.People can be born with "differences," like physical deformities or just physical disabilities. Or they become physically "different" by accident, illness, etc.
2.Some people live in a culture that is different from theirs, so they stand out as looking or sounding different.
3.Some people choose to dress, act or speak in ways that set them apart.
This is my response to your question. If someone chooses to set themselves apart and then is taunted, teased or bullied, this is still very, very wrong. But unlike the people in #s 1 and 2, they have a choice. Do you think that some people want to get attention by being different, even if this attention is of a negative kind?

So, you automatically assume the guy was bullied? And No, itis not another columbine revisited. Grow up. it was one very sick individual who got some guns and decided it wAs time to die andwanted to take others out with him. I have a ggriend whi lives just afew blocksfrom that school, and goes to McGill and Concordia, And I'd appreciate it ifyou would just lether and others get on with their liveswhile the police try to sort things out. And I'd appreciate it also if you stopped jumping to conclusions about something you know absolutely nothing about. so. Mind Your Own Business!
