Is there something you've needed to say to someone else at some point in your life, but didn't because of fear, anger, or just being caught up in the moment?

On my side, I wished I'd talked to my mother the weekend before she died. I was only a few days from turning 9, and assumed she'd be at the party.

I'm irritated at my friend and I don't like her child. Mostly I don't want to be around her kid.

Too many things have been left unsaid by myself to count... I learnt at an early age that being forthright with my opinions or feelings would only get me into trouble. I grew up in a fairly male dominated environment where the head of the household was a self obsessed and easily threatened prescence. In that environment you quickly learn to keep your feelings and opinions to yourself and eventually from yourself. However, as we become adults we learn to move past these things and realise we're only perpetuating the cycle and damaging our adult lives if we don't. It's not easy though and I still have trouble revealing my true feelings to others. I have no trouble accepting the inner workings of others as I know I will be open and accepting of thier feelings. However, when it's the other way around some part of me still fears ridicule and rejection. But hell! Now thousands of people all over the world know, so it can't be that bad right? I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I'm sure it must be difficult having unresolved issues with your mum... but you were only 9 years old. Kids don't have the foresight that comes with age and life experience. There may need to come a time when you can forgive yourself.

Thanks for the question. : )

I don't know how to tell the guy i've been dating for almost a year that I want something more of this relationship. I'm not even his girlfriend and sometimes I can't take it anymore but if I would tell him something he will probably think i'm pressuring him and he had told me from the beginning that he wanted me to be patient and that's what i'm trying to do. Maybe i'll get it out some day.

Thank God I have all my freinds and family still with me so I can still tell them anything I need to say.

Yes, there is. It was a car salesman back in the '80s, and what I wanted to say was, . . . You puss bellied smarmy jerk, if you can't give me a price on the f++king car you can feel free to punch the son of a bi#ch up your fat a s s. What I did say was, . . . I don't believe I'm interested, thank you.

Yep. I saw the man I was in love with marry someone else. I never told him how I felt for real and just let him go.
I wish I had told him prior to his marriage.

Yes, especially with family members who have passed. I wish I had expressed how grateful I was for them and how much I loved them a lot more often than I did....
