Friends are considering renting an RV in NY and travelling cross country including Canada Nov-Dec? Is this reasonable?

Here in Florida they're open year round. I have no idea about Canada, but I'm not going to be camping up there at that time!!!

I would think if you use an RV in freezing weather, you'd have all kinds of plumbing and heating issues to worry about that you wouldn't otherwise. I don't know for sure though, since I'm in the land of eternal sun.

Not many open in the north. I do not know about Canada, but I would think the same. Plenty in the south, southwest, west, and northwest.

i'd suggest that your friends make some phone calls to places that you might be staying to see if they're open....
