It depends on the size of the box. Maybe $100 a year I think.

WOW.... there are various amounts listed here.... certainly call the bank you will be using and get it straight from them. I mean do the math simply for the sake of saving in the future... If you plan on having that box for a number of years, it would be in your best interest to purchase a big safe and have it in your home or garage. If you rent then a box would be the best choice. But if you own your own home a big safe is sooooooooooo nice to have.

I do not mean a safe you get at the local home improvement store that has a fire rating of 25,000 degrees... I mean a safe that weighs one ton and goes in your garage or basement and can withstand a three day fire! I have two... one almost double the size of the next. I am a coin / currency collector and I want my assets protected from fire with no chance of damage.

You night be thinking these safes are expensive...well I bought one for $600 years back and now the latter one I just paid $800. Any safety deposit box would not be able to hold my collection and then I would be forking out more money year after year. I choose to have my stuff where I can get at it. You can find a guy who deals with these by contacting your local safe / lock smith guy... they should be able to direct you to who can help if they do not handle it themselves. The men who refurbish these old safes are registered with the state, for they are also safe crackers!

For the criminals out there ...come on over... I will give you an hour to try to break into them ! ha ha !! 8 inch walls ... good luck !

The bank that I work at, a box is probably $30.00 a year for the largest size, about $15.00 for a smaller one. We do not require a person to open an account, but the background check etc., is just as strict as if you were to open an account. There are major rules that the government makes banks follow to make sure that a terrorist, or a federally wanted person does not start any type of relationship with any bank.

not very expensive, usually several tens of dollars per month, you register an account with some private info and those about the things you want to deposit and he will make into the index or list or database for management,it is a considerable choice i think
