LEESBURG, Fla. (AP)- Two weeks after telling police that her son had been snatched from his crib, Melinda Duckett found herself reeling in an interview with TV's famously prosecutorial Nancy Grace. Before it was over, Grace was pounding her desk and loudly demanding to know: "Where were you? Why aren't you telling us where you were that day?"

A day after the taping, Duckett, 21, shot herself to death, deepening the mystery of what happened to the boy.

Police have refused to say whether she left a suicide note, and said nothing they have found so far in their investigation of her death has shed light on the whereabouts of her 2-year-old son, Trenton. ........(more at Yahoo! News)

Duckett not withstanding, Nancy Grace needs some serious psychiatric help. She has got some major issues.

I can't stand her and I don't understand why she is still employed at CNN or any other broadcast facility that allows her to be seen by more than 2 people at a time.

There is absolutely nothing anyone can do when someone wants to die. Most do not want to die. They just want to threaten, blame and make everyone around them miserable and feel responsible because they are unhappy. Since your mom has a fiance, let him carry the load. I am surprised he puts up with it. You need to move away, as far as you can, and quit trying to do the impossible (preventing her suicide) and quit feeling guilty about the whole thing. It will not be easy to do this. When you are not available for her to blame and threaten and call names, your mom may straighten up because she will have only herself to blame. She will either straighten up or commit suicide. Either way, it is her choice and there is nothing you can do so why should you make yourself miserable and blame yourself because she is mentally ill and does not want help. Too many people ruin their own lives feeling like they can do "something" to prevent an action by another person. If you could, you would, but you can't do anything or make her do anything as she can't make you do anything. Quit feeling guilty. You have done enough. Do not visit but once a week. 5/7 days is showing her how much she is in control. Tell her you love her and are willing to HELP her when she wants to help herself but you are tired of being blamed for her unhappiness and if she starts abusing you verbally when you visit, you will not come at all. Do you think it's worth a try?

She seemed like she had some type of mental problems and just went out of control. She was totally illogical during her interview and it seems the reality of what she may have done caught up with her. I pray that this innocent child was only hidden somewhere and is alive.

I think she knew something. If you were innocent and given the chance to take a polygraph test...wouldn't you take it to clear your name? Something fishy about the whole thing and her vague answers.
