Sorry to hear about your problem.
Maybe you can try herbal coffee with 'Tongkat Ali' (Eurycoma Longifolia). It is good to boost energy and enhancing libido.

I am so sorry to hear about your problems, but I am thrilled you are trying to take care of this the natural way. There are many things to try, but these are what I use to control my depression. I have suffered from severe depression for almost 30 years. When I follow my routine I do well. When I don't I don't. Hope some of this helps.
1. Take St. John's Wart (325 milligram capsules-2 in the morning and 1 at night)
2. Eat salmon 3-4 times a week. (Every day would not hurt at all right now.
3. Go tan. Tanning bed-3-4 times a week for about 10 minutes. Outdoors-15 minutes a day every day.
4. Take a supplement. I searched for years and found...
Adaptogen 10 Plus by TriVita (800.991.7116-I don't make money off it. That's the main number.)
5. Supplement-Sublingual B12 by TriVita (It goes under your tongue and directly into your blood stream)
There are other things you can do, but this is a start. I have spent years finding natural things that work. Any treatment you start will take 2-3 weeks to work completely, even Rx. But you will start to feel a little better each day.
And I have to remind you to seek help if it gets beyond your control. Good luck to you. That is terrible to hear about.

St John's wort herbal supplements can help mild depression. Also, foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids (leafy green vegetables, vegetable oils, and oily fish such as salmon and mackerel) can help too.
The best way to deal with your depression is to talk to someone about the situation causing the depression. You shouldn't be scared of talking to a professional, but if you can't make that leap, try talking to a friend.

St. John's wort, Ginseng, and hot chicken stew should help a little. Chocolate for a pick-me up now and then, but don't overdo the sugar or you'll come crashing after the rush. Bummer, man.
p.s: Don't shrug off the shrinks if you really are hurting.

First, I'm sorry to here that your wife has betrayed your trust through marriage. The types of foods I eat when I become depressed are oranges. I have learned in the winter, when I feel this way which is called Seasonal Affective Disorder or (SAD), I eat oranges, the Vitamin D and E in them helps to counter my depression fast and normal. Orange juice is another good natural substance to intake. Natural substances won't have any side effects, unless of course you have an allergy to them. You should never think at first about taking medication, anti-depression medication has nasty side effects to it, like hallucinations and auditory illusions, plus, it has been linked to actual deterioration of brain cells. Second, don't put yourself through psychiatric treatment because of something like this. Seeing a psychiatrist will entail them putting you on medication as well if they think you need, and it can extend further than that, plus, not to mention it is quite expensive.
To be completely honest, I don't believe you sir need a psychiatrist or pills to take care of your depression. Some people try and work their relationships out, that's up to you whether you feel as if you can trust your wife again. Most of the time, these decisions usually slap people in the face because it has a 82% chance of happening again. Second, my personal belief is I would file for divorce and I really don't even believe in divorce. I always thought it should be used as a last resort, but your situation sounds pretty serious. Unforunately, your wife, who took the vows of marriage, truth, trust, faith, and especially love, betrayed them right in your face. Most people like this cannot be trusted, so I would personally recommend for your own sake to leave that relationship.
Third, try those things I recommended for you, plus, if you are concerned about any other things like natural substances, you can always try an Asian health food store or shop, ask the owner about natural substances to cure or assist in depression. If you think it is more serious than that, you should speak with your physician. Most of the time however, when people are depressed, they immediately just go and see a psychiatrist and take medication, which is the easiest way out. Sometimes, if you are in a dilemma, the eastiest way out isn't always the most feasible way either. I can only tell you the simplest things that always seem to help the other percentage of people who refuse to turn to medicine. (Go outside into the fresh air, watch a sunset or sunrise, take a walk, not for a mile, but for a few miles, run if you want, it relieves tension and stress. Listen to music really loud, buy something you don't think you can afford, but don't get irrational, stay out all night, don't go to work for a day or so).
Depression can ruin your life or you can ruin depression. I like to see people ruin depression by knocking it away with the simplest things in life, like life itself. Try some of these things before you think you should see a psychiatrist or take medication. Don't let this ruin your life, depression or your wife's relations with another man. Don't ever worry about getting back at your wife either, life has its ways of doing so.
I wish you the best of luck in solving this dilemma. Remember, persistence, faith, love, and hope conquer all. Good luck, God bless.

hi, st johns wort is meant to be good, you can buy tablets in health stores and will start to work over a couple weeks.
but really that wont sort out your troubles. see a doctor who will probably refer you to a therapist. i did yesterday for the first time after too long of being down. its not actually that bad. i see it as like having a personal trainer to help you with exercise. this is the same, only for your inner health. its really not that bad, just go see someone that will help you out!

Believe it or not, they say a banana is good for treating "MILD" depression. You may not have to see a shrink either, your family physician might be able to help alot more than you think. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better
