I see ever changing geometric patterns - and it is intensified when I either rub my eyes or have my contacts in.
It's actually pretty cool...

Right now black but white sq. where I was looking at the screen. At night when I get into my dark bedroom and close my eyes. I see all kinds of shapes and colors. Blue is a common for me. I don't know what causes it,but I also do it. It looks all most 3D and moving toward me.

I see like static on the tv...black mostly, with some gray and it's speckled and moving...I'm not on drugs either, haha! I sometimes see blue or purple also, or if I've been looking at a light or something, then yellow or orange.

When I close my I see immediate darkness followed shortly by what seems to be some source of light. It doesn't seem "dark" though. Things appear to be moving.
P.S. I'm not on drugs either..lol

darkness but if I'm really tired I can see little spots of light that look like stars (no drugs either).
I was going to be a smartass and say "The Yahoo Answers" Page but you'll notice I restrained myself! =)

depends, if its dark, I see nothing but black, but if i press my eyeballs with my fingers I see colours and explosions. If its bright sunlight I can see the veins in my eyelids, and red. pressing my eyeballs I see more white light and moving shapes, its a bit like the skins on a windows media player thing going on!!!
ps I ain't on drugs either!!!

It depends on the lighting around me when I close them... it's usually dark black... but in the sun it's red... The tissue and blood flow causes the color difference when light is involved...
