When I file folders in the filing cabinet why do I always cut my fingers and make the filing cabinet too tight? Are there safest ways to do filing in a filing cabinet at work?

You could wear those little rubber thimble type things. I think a better solution would be to frequently apply hand moisturizer. The material that paper is made from is extremely drying to the hands, so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

There are some covers for the tips of your fingers available on the market. Try OfficeMax & OfficeDepot. I do the same thing - at home in my own filing. [think CSI ever took DNA off of blood left on file folders :) ]

As for tight filing, are you using accordian style drop folders. These work so much better for bulky filing. Also you might consider "dating" your files and filing the older items away.

Gee! What's a file cabinet? I haven't seen one of those since 1975. Where is your computer?
If you don't have the technology today, try using thimbles, look in the sewing dept at wal-mart.
