Im doing my chemistry homework and iv forgotten :S, i want to write the chemical formula of sulphuric acid

No, it should not be AlSO4 because the charge of Aluminum to react is +3 and the charge of the polyatomic anion SO4 is -2. To form the neutral substance, the positive and negative charges must equal. This means you need 2 atoms of +3 Al giving you a total of +6 charges to react with 3 sulfate (SO4 -2 ), or a total of -6 charges. +6 and -6 gives you zero which is the charge of the whole aluminum sulfate.

Think sulphuric acid H2SO4. Therefore SO4 has a valency of -2.

Sulphate has a 2 minus charge, and remember that Hydrogen has plus one, so you need two Hydrogens for every one sulphate to balance the charge.
So it's

(H+)2(SO4)2-
