An example of a Democratically ran state would be Louisiana....

My big problem with the Democrats is that they really should rename their party the Socialist party.

With Lieberman gone, they have now forced out every member who stood for traditional Democratic "working man" (and women) values. Now it seems all they stand for is more and more Social programs that benefit no one but the Government itself (in the form of higher taxes) and not the average person. And they seem hell-bent on turning the US into a religion free, autocratic, socialist state like Europe. I mean do you really want a country with a stagnant economy with high unemployment and the people who are employed get to pay 70% of their incomes in taxes to pay for unless social programs?

I certainly don't!

Oh, and just two comments for region50. It was the apathy of the Presidential Administration of the mid and late 90s that led to 9/11. There were three terrorist attacks on "US Soil" starting in the mid 90s and 2000. All of which were linked to bin Laden, each growing in boldness, and Clinton's tepid response to each encouraged bin Laden to do more.

I mean come on, someone blows up your embassies (which are US Soil) in 1998 and the only thing you do is launch a few tomahawk missiles at a few tents in Afghanistan and forget about it! Someone tries to blow up the Twin Towers in 1993 and the only thing you do is a criminal prosecution of the actual bombers and do not even bother going after the actual master mind and financier, Bin Laden? And of course the USS Cole bombing in 2000 where there was no response at all!! Come On!!! Stop believing what the media wants you to believe and start putting the facts together for yourself and come up with your own conclusions.

And one last thing for region50 don't forget that during the 90s the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress, which provided a check against the Democrats.

I am not saying the Republicans are great, I myself am a Libertarian and I disagree with a lot of their policies, but they are better than this new Socialist Democratic Party.

Things would be more fair. People would have health insurance, Osama would be dead or in Jail and Saddam would still be striking fear in the heart of the Iranians! Also the genocide in Sudan would be stopped, the environment would be cleaner, and the middle class would have more rights when they are ripped off or injured. The tax system would also be more fair with the rich paying a larger share then they are today. Laws protecting workers would be stronger and poor working mothers would have better child care. September 11 of course has changed the democrats making them more security conscious, so you would see excellent homeland security, not a bunch of people freaking about about exploding makeup.

Corporations would have been held accountable for their misdeeds and investors would have confidence that they are not beiing lied to because they could sue if they were.

Democrats would have used the HIGH world opinion of the US immediately following september 11th to get cooperation arresting the perpetrators. Because no abu-graeb or guantinamo, or civilian casualties would have occurred, moderate arabs would have helped us fight terrorism rather than burning US flags.

Women would freely be able to kill any children they didn't want... And hey, why stop with the unborn? A life is just a life, afterall, we should have choice over it. We are as good as God. We could kill ALL the children! And we could finally legalize stem cell research and play God some more- create a living object and use it for science experiements. Rodent testing is so out... Let's make people to test on! Yeah! Then we could stop the war in Iraq. Just withdraw and move on. Let's send those terrorists our message of love. Hell, let's mail them an invitation to join us... Let's start hiring them to be pilots for American Airlines, so they won't have to go through the elaborate hi-jacking process. Then, we will have our peaceful America just the way we want it. But hey, at least the unemployment rate will go down!!! Who cares if no one is alive to take the open jobs...?

It would look like France.

The US headquarters would be moved to NYC into the UN building.

Most likely, half of America would be blown off of the map by Islamofascists due to democraptic incompetency.

Well when Clinton was president we lived in prosperity, had no war, and had the best economy we've had in 20 years. Under Bush we are at war, have a bad foreign policy, lots of inflation, and a high unemployment rate...bring back the dems.

Alot like it did in the 90's everybody happy, everybody working, we actually won wars and captured the bad man, and we get to talk about sex alot which is better than talking about war all the time.

not coming back ...I would like to respond to that...what killed your Brother was an Administration that chose a war, with a country that posed no credible threat to us.If indeed you are even serious about your claim..your hate is best laid at the perpetrators and profiteers of war!
