I don't believe GOD is Baptist, Muslim, Catholic or Hindu. GOD is the Supreme Being. Categorizing GOD limits who GOD is. There are no limits to GOD. Man decides what sect he is and semantics as well as culture is one of the biggest deciding factors as to who we worship. We are all given free will. No matter where we are born if we have the opportunity to educate ourselves we soon learn that it is by choice that we decide on what religion we partake in. As a white person born in America I am more likely to become some kind of Christian where as someone from India will either become Hindu or if born in Punjab, Sikhism.

What I am most amused with is that man seems to worship man and idols more than GOD. Jesus, Buddha, Gurus, Mohammed and a host of others.

As far as Satan is concerned, the jury is still out on the dark angel.
I personally believe that evil can only exist where there is an absence of God.

I also think politics and religion are one in the same by different names.

I agree with you about GOD not being a denomination of a single religion but instead the Supreme Being; but, I don't agree that politics and religion are the same.

I do see where you draw that conclusion though from events today in the world. Many nations are picking sides and basing their actions on what religion the majority of their country is.

The only reason, I disagree is because I don't believe those ppl are truly religious... oh they think they are but would a true GODly person try to dominate other country because of their religion... no.

Your line of reasoning implies one of two possibilities

1) God has not presented a plan for us to return to his presence. All the different plans are "man's" inventions.

2) God doesn't care how we return to his presence. If we're basically good people we'll all get there in the end.

I would be fascinated to hear which of the religions mentioned above subscribes to your philosophy.

>Oh, you people. Do you have any idea how tiresome and depressing this religion fetish is to the rest of us?

Puhleeze... go rent the Lord of the Rings trilogy, enjoy some mythology, and don't take it seriously or form a First Church of Gandalf around it.<

Many people don't like disagrement. So they tend to group themselves with others who think and believe the same way.
