Yes you can ! Michigan now sues in court for unpaid medical bills. They didnt use to do that before. This was in effect about 5 years ago, so pay them or set up payment plan. They CAN and WILL also sue and deduct from your wages!

You can but won't. Is it in collections yet? You have 30 days to respond to a collection letter. You must dispute the debt by certified mail, return receipt requested, and demand full and lawful validation of the alleged debt, in accordance with the FDCPA. Dispute any following letters the same way.

$200 is not worth anyone taking you to court and they know that.

You must dispute all collection letters within 30 days, or they are allowed to proceed with further collection activity.

Maxim of Law: Silence implies consent!!! Remember that.

Probably. The amount and timing are within normal limits. In some states (New York comes to mind) corporations can't sue in small claims court (and need a lawyer to defend there); in other states they can. Doctors sometimes incorporate their practices.

No, but the Dr will send your claim to a collection agency. You do not want that. So, pay the bill.

yup, but not by the doctors office...if you ignore the bill for a year they will probably sell the debt to someone like me for 20 dollars. i will ask you once to pay the debt in full. but you will ignore my request and the fun begins. I will take you to court and I will win. you lose on the facts and you lose anyway because you probably won't show up....28 days later i will have your bank empty you account.

Sure can. It might just go into collection though and really be bad for your credit rating. I would just try to make arrangements to pay what you can BEFORE it goes into collection.
