My checking account was doubled charged for my rent check. I had 7 pending transactions that went through the next day. All 7 gave me a negative balance charge of $35 each.

I have had the double charge reversed, what is my next step to get back the $35*7 back as it was not my fault.

What are my rights and how far can I go to receive the money?

call your bank, explain what happened.. If it is compass, you need to just switch banks now. They are the worst for not understanding.. Most banks will realize what happened and not charge you 35.00 for each check. If there is a reasonable excuse why. If you were short on cash and you did write all those checks, then it is your fault, other than that, it is the banks fault.. Read the small print on the banks terms before you get all fired up though.. They will get you there.

Call or visit your bank. They will fix it and reverse the charges.
