WHen your stock portfolio is crippling you, but you don't know what to sell or if it will eventually go up, or continue to plummet?

It is always easy to get INTO this game... getting out is a lot harder sometimes. It is like chosing between two children...

No one has been able to help me with VTSS yet either? Should I dump this or keep it in the hopes that after the smoke clears, someone will buy them out or merge and resurface them as a good stock again?

HELP!

There is an old saying, don't gamble with what you need to live on. If you can't take the losses, bail out. Never heard of VTSS. Sounds like you have mostly junk stocks

It has always been a unwritten rule people buy when mkt goes up and sell while it come down. Clever investors work with targets and stop loss. If u think stock has triggered stop loss pls exit and book loss u can always enter in same stock at low level this we call making profit in loss. In other way in rising mkt never be greedy decide ur % of profit what u are looking for when u hit sell and invest in that stock where still upward journey is possible. For any more clarification discuss and take opinion of know PMS (portfolio Management Service) people who will again re frame ur portfolio with some charges. Wish u all the best dear.

I generally make my sell decisions the same way I make my buy decisions: does the company have the investment features that would make it a good long term investment? Also, you need to kind of decide before you buy something at what your target price would be to sell, either high or low.

I also try to keep a preset asset allocation in mind, and watch if I get heavy in certain sectors. If I get too heavy, then I decide which stock is doing the worst from that sector and dump it.

Can't help you on VTSS-don't follow it at all.
