why does ms word opens in the background?

I use to open in the foreground but I noticed it now opens fin the background and answers on how to change it?

Are you saying the Word starts itself up and runs in the 'background' while you are working on the computer? If so you have it set to start up when the computer starts up. To fix this click run>type in msconfig. When the box comes up choose the tab start up (or something similar) and remove Word. Make sure you click apply/OK.

If running in the background means it comes up minimized then you need to change a setting (I never heard of this, but--computers . . . ) the answer to fix this is probably in tools or view.
