You know I guess you have just given me another project and an excuse to watch Pulp Fiction some more,I love that movie but I have never really sat down and tried to nail down the begining. So now I have a reason to watch it a couple dozen more times, but you're probably right.

Yeah, that is the correct beginning. Right after the opening credits. I like how Tarantino does that, like in Sin City and Reservoir Dogs...
The timeline how I see it is: Vincent and Jules going to Brett's, The guy running out of the bathroom trying to kill them, the whole Marvin fiasco, Them going to the restaurant as it gets robbed, Vincent taking out Mia, then the whole Bruce Willis story
Correct me if I missed anything.
and to answer serenityredflowers's question, there is no beginning. Well, I guess it would all start when he is a kid. That is an example of a paradox.

Sounds about right to me. One of my favourites.
what I have never been able to work out (after watching it a gazillion times)
Where does the story start in 12 monkeys. Just when I think I've worked it out, I see a flaw tot my logic!!! Still, it's a great film.

I once watched an interview with Quentin Tarantino where he was asked the same question. He said that , depending which artificial stimulants you had indulged in depended on where you thought the film started! However, he went on to say that your suggested start to the film is HIS intended beginnig to the film. He also went on to say that 'TOP GUN' was one of the most overtly gay films he'd ever seen!

You are right, that is the beginning, chronologically.
