I think they just observed a calf drinking and a light bulb came on.

It was probably someone who saw the calf suckling and thought - 'if it's that good for them, maybe it's good for us'. We use nearly every other part of the cow, for clothes, meat and stuff so why not drink from them too? But as to the name of the person who saw the dangly things, really have no idea, sorry.

A long time ago in Bethlehem, there was Mary, Joseph and their little baby Jesus. Jesus was hungry, but Mary had no milk in her breasts because she was a virgin and her body had not adapted to motherhood in the way that it should. Mary asked Joseph "Where can I get milk for our Son?". Joseph snapped "How am I supposed to know you stupid woman!? And why are you asking me? How can you expect me to love the child of another man! Find milk yourself!!!"
With that, he pushed Mary away, and she toppled over a hay bale that was resting behind her. Behind the hay was a cow chewing on the hay. As Mary flung out her arms to save herself, she grabbed onto the nearest thing, which was the cows udder. To her joy, milk spurted out!
"Hallelujah!" cried Mary, "I have found milk for my Son! It must surely be a miracle from the Lord!"
And so there you have it, that's how we found out milk came from cows!

You know what I have always wondering who found out you can drink milk and what were they doing when they discovered it, I guess it is another of life's mysteries

Not sure... theres a lot of things i wonder about stuff like that.
I.E who is the first person who initiated or invented sex ("i wonder what this does and does it fit in there... "!!??)

Who knows but it's not that weird.
The person saw the cow's calf drink, so why would it not be safe for him/her to?
