There may be two, though I'm unsure. Yes, one is in the fuel tank and can be a PITA to replace. I also think that there's a second one though, and it should be located on the frame rail under the car, just about under the driver's seat. I'm not 100%...I don't know these cars...but I know other GM trucks do, and they're essentially the same thing.

gonna have to drain the fuel out of the tank, and drop the tank, be careful you dont bust any of the emission lines, return lines etc. on top of the tank, they are a pain in the butt to fix. take the pump out, put a new one in hook everything back up and fill er with gas. dont run it with less than 1/4 tank, that will kill fuel pumps quickly. i would strongly suggest you just take it to a shop

The fuel pump is located in an assembly in the fuel tank. There will only be one fuel pump on this vehicle.

It's in the fuel tank. There is only one. You have to drop the tank to change it. Very common problem on those cars.
