That line that starts with http:// - you see it near the top of this page. You could highlight that line and copy it - then paste it in the body of an e-mail - it is a nice way to direct a friend to something that is really interesting. All the friend has to do is click on that line.
When you get BS mail from people you don't know you could be directed to a site that will do damage to your computer. If you click on it you may even be taken to another site - like those bogus bank requests for you to update your information - they may look like an official site, but they aren't.
