Are they still claiming Saddam did the dirty? I thought they moved on to: "Freeing the Iraqi people"!
If anyone thinks Iraq had ANYTHING to do with 911 they are dumb. They should have gone after IRAN (but alas Iraq seemed to be the easy target) who openly support Hezbollah and are VERY vocal about their dislike for the WEST and the PM is now going on about starting the end of the world so some Shia prophet(?) guy can come back.
Now I honestly think Iraq and Iran are gonna join forces based on their religion (both shia) and their support of Hezbollah.

Bush has not publically explicitly blamed 9/11 on Saddam. In many speeches, the president has strongly linked Saddam and al-Qaida, but thats the extent of it. The American people made their own inferences. The White House openly stated on numerous occassions that Saddam had neither direction nor control of 9/11. Iraq is connected to 9/11 only in the sense that Bush told the american people that we were going after the terrorists (all terrorists, not just the 9/11 terrorists) and going after those that harbor them. Saddam Hussein and his regime have had long time ties to terrorism, including harboring al-Qaida (Al Zarqawi & his numerous followers - the Iraq al-Qaida link). He also has been known to have had WMDs and will not hesitate to use them. A declassified portion of a report by the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit, states that "Since 2003, coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent. Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq's pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist." Anyone who believes Saddam got rid of them is nieve. Those who only want to HATE put spin on the administration's words to suit their needs of name calling. Those who think we can't adequately protect our country by being in both Afganastan and Iraq and still defend against Iran and Korea underestimate the power of this great nation. Don't forget Bush's address to the nation "We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who HARBOR them." Iraq is one of those nations that HARBORed them. We all need to stand united in this coutries efforts to abolish terroism. Those who are against every step made by this administration are hindering the agenda. Don't forget that the Clinton administration said no to bringing in Osama when our country had him handed to it on a silver platter when the Sudan wanted to become friendlier with the US. As a result of Clinton's bad decision, this administration and all the american people are feeling the ramifications. Stop with the hatred. Grow up and realize that if we don't do something now, our kids will feel the pain later - except later we'll have dirty bombs detonating in our country.

I don't think that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11...Bush could never prove this and now with the realest of the CIA report he has no justification for attacking Iraq...
So it seems that the only justification Bush has for attacking Iraq was that "God told him so"...=))

bush said iraq was a threat that had to be removed...no relations between that and 9/11 other than the fact we are trying to get rid of terrorism...good question though..at least u didnt bash bush in ur question and kept it open to both sides..quite rare around here

The administration does not state that. Once again, facts are irrelevant for Bush bashers.

No. Of course, I did when it all initially went down. I've since changed my mind drastically.
