On the bass clef, the spaces go like this:
A
C
E
G
or as i remember it, All Cows Eat Grass
The bass clef spaces go
G
B
D
F
A
Or, Good Boys Deserve Fine Apples

On the treble clef, the sapces go like this:
E
C
A
F
That's easy to remember, FACE.
The lines go like this
F
D
B
G
E
Every Green Bus Drives Fast

Those are just the basic clefs you learn at the beginning.
There's also alto and tenor clefs, but i still can't get the hang of them yet. The more sight reading you do, it gets alot easier (But i still sometimes confuse them)

If you have a local music store, go to their, they should have a Music theory book series. That would be the best thing to buy to teach you the way to learn notes. Plus the people in the music department could help you in what book specifically could help you. But I would get a Music Theory Book. That is one thing that helps people learn the notes the best.

one bit of advise, never ever use the "good boys do somthin" stuff. this is because if u are trying to learn a song with sheet music, u will always be doin this constantly and this isnt good. the best way is to just keep on practicing and practicing. thats wut i did and now i can recognize any note on piano sheet music
