When will they be available and how much do they cost this year?

costs vary from office to office and they should either be available already or coming in in the next 2-3 weeks max, you would have to call your doctor's office to confirm both these, they are fairly inexpensive though, sometimes employers pay for that too

At the Walgreens in my area they're available the first week in October. As for the cost, I'm really not sure. Last year they were $20.

They are already available. If you have a medidal plan, it's just the copayment $5-20. Different doctors charge different rates. Call and ask. Some cities give seniors free shots. If you're a senior citizen call the city and ask.

my son's pediatrician told me to bring my boys in around november for their flu shots but I dont know because we live in Hawaii so i cant really tell you for sure. I think the shot is around 20-30 dollars

THERE IS NO SHORTAGE THIS YEAR. MOST OFFICES WILL START TO GIVE AT THE END OF OCTOBER. AND THEY ARE USUALLY NO MORE THAN $30.
