In the small community I live in we have a small play ground. I actually have stopped allowing my children to play there. My kids are a little old to want mom with them all of the time and sadly the things that take place in the park are things I do not want my children exposed to. My kids have other choices and do "play outside." Some people do not have other options and in order to keep the children safe, keep them indoors. It does therefore seem to be a waste of tax payers money to build and maintain a park for drug users and dealers. Finding a solution to keeping out the negative influences and giving the parks back to the kids would be lifestyle change a lot of people would welcome.

It's true. I try to take my children to the park on a regular basis. They love it! Kids like being outside. If the parents would just take them, they will forget about the computer. Mine go days and weeks without playing video games or watching t.v. Get those kids outside!
Be safe.

I see alot of people at the parks near me. Even in the winter you can still walk and, when snow is available, crosscountry ski on the trails.

Speak for yourself! I take my daughter to the park on a regular basis. And we do not own any video games or players.

Not where I live. Our parks are always filled.

I can't wait till winter when there is a little more solitude.
