No, not really. I guess it all depends on the situation and environment of the manager position - I would still say no for the instances I've dealth with managers and witnessed what they had to do and the times I was a manager.

The manager has the worst job. If any thing goes wrong its the manager that has to fix it, and some people are impossible to "fix"!

Definitely not in the restaurant business! I was a manager, and stepped down to waitress because it's better. Manager sucked.

Maybe the better paying job compared to the little peons that work under him. But the manager has to be the one to answer to the obnoxious customers.

Rarely. The manager is responsible for everything that everyone beneath him does. He has to answer for more than just himself.

I was assistant, then manager, of a convience store for 5 years, and I tell you, it was living h.ell. I probably went through a big bottle of TUMS at least once a week. Never again, never again.
