Robert Wadlow. He was 8 ft 11 1/2 inches when he died in his early 20's. He died of blood poisioning because he got a blister from a shoe rubbing his ankle raw and did not get to the doctor in time. His shoe size was like size 23. He is from the city of Alton, Illinois, 25 NE of St lous, MO. There is a statue of him exactly the same heighth he was when he died. Every spring they have a Robert Wadlow festival.

as far as I know, in the Guinness book of world records, the tallest man is Xi Shun from China. The last time he was measured was in January 2005, and he was 7 ft 8.95 inches tall.

I believe it was Robert Wadlow as well. He was 8 ft 11 inches when he died. He was between 20 and 25 if I remember correctly when he died.

The chinese guy is 4 inches shorter but he is still alive so he could catch up if he continues to grow.

"IS" I dont know, but the tallest man of all time was Robert Walden(I think), he was almost 9 feet tall.
